Terms of Sale
Last updated 5 August 2026
Draft prepared for launch. This page describes how the store will operate once sales open, including card payments through Wert, which are not yet live.
1. Who we are
These terms are an agreement between you and the company that operates Rookery ("we", "us"). Company details are shared with payment partners during onboarding and will be published here before sales open.
We sell digital collectibles ("relics") from the Rookery ERC-721 collection directly to buyers. We are not an open marketplace.
Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay payments are processed by Wert; we never receive or store your card details. Wert verifies the identity of buyers before payment, and your card statement will show a Wert descriptor.
2. What you are buying
You are buying a non-fungible token recorded on a public blockchain, together with a personal, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display the associated artwork for personal, non-commercial use and to resell or transfer the token. Copyright in the artwork remains with Rookery. You are not buying a share, security, or any right to profit.
We make no promise of future value, resale price, listing on any marketplace, or return of any kind. Digital collectibles are volatile and may lose all value.
3. Price, currency and delivery
Prices are shown before checkout and include the mint price only; blockchain network fees may apply. When you pay by card, our partner converts your payment into crypto and calls the collection smart contract, which mints the piece directly to the wallet address you entered. Delivery is normally complete within minutes of payment confirmation.
You are responsible for entering a correct wallet address on a supported network. Blockchain transfers are irreversible and a piece sent to an address you mistyped cannot be recovered by us.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this contract, and you must not be located in, or a resident of, a country subject to comprehensive sanctions or one our payment provider does not serve. Our payment partner performs its own identity and compliance checks and may decline a transaction.
5. Supply and availability
The collection has a fixed maximum supply enforced by the smart contract. Per-wallet limits and sale phases are also enforced on-chain. If a sale is sold out or paused, any payment that cannot be fulfilled is refunded in full.
6. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law our total liability for any claim relating to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that purchase. We are not liable for blockchain network failures, wallet or key loss, third-party marketplace behaviour, or changes in market value.
7. Refunds
A blockchain transfer cannot be reversed, so a piece is final once it has been minted to your wallet. If a payment succeeds but the piece is not delivered, or the piece does not match its listing, contact us with your order reference and we will deliver it or refund you in full. See the refund policy for details.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the country where the operating company is registered. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
